  • Mad, the Museum of Arts and Design explores the blur zone between art, design, and craft today. It focuses on contemporary creativity and the ways in which artists and designers from around the world transform materials through processes ranging from the artisanal to the digital Marisa Bartolucci Director of Public Affairs Museum of Arts and Design.

  • BERENGO STUDIO 1989, the Berengo Studio was established in 1989 by Adriano Berengo and has focused on bringing contemporary visual artists from Europe and the United States to Murano, Italy, to collaborate with its famous glass masters to produce art in glass. The artists chosen to work with the Berengo Studio are not glass artists so they bring a diverse approach to glass that reveals the multiplicity of the material.

  • VENICE PROJECTS promotes internationally recognized contemporary artists who have been in the Venice Biennale, or artists who have achieved similar stature, providing some with the opportunity to express their creativity in a new medium, glass.

  • IVSLA, the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti, founded on 1810, is an academy whose aim is “to increase, promulgate, and safeguard the sciences, literature and the arts” with particular regard to the cultural, social and economic life of the Veneto region.  The Institute is housed in Palazzo Loredan (historical headquarters) and in Palazzo Franchetti.
