Zak Timan

Zak Timan is an American artist living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Inspired by the dynamic mobiles of Alexander Calder, Timan’s work seeks to capture the moments prior to movement, the potential of energy.  Suspending buoyant objects and formations within clear oil, Timan presents a moment of potential frozen in time yet brimming with aliveness.  Born in Arizona in 1985, he has exhibited throughout the US and in Europe.
