Artists of all disciplines from sculptors to musicians have been invited to collaborate with the maestros in creating art in glass. Glasstress, a showcase of this collaboration of craft and creativity, has forged a new trajectory for glass and a new path for contemporary artists.
Glasstress Venice
Glasstress was launched in 2009 by Adriano Berengo as an official collateral event of the Biennale di Venezia. Today it is the world’s leading showcase for the collaborative work of contemporary artists and designers with Berengo Studio’s Muranese glass masters.

GLASSTRESS
is the contempora ry art exhibition in which important stars on the internatio nal scene match their talents with the use of glass. Because there is a need to free glass from functional and decorative limitations to make it a material of contemporary art. Glasstress offers artists limitless possibilities for experimentation and a different way for glassmasters to use their skills in this new era of glass.
Glasstress main editions take place every two years in Venice in the context of the Venice Biennale of Art. Since 2011 the exhibitions also became an itinerant event hosted by prominent museums and institutions worldwide.
